SIDDIQUE MAHMUDUR RAHMAN, (born: 4 September 1946, Jessore, Bangladesh), is an ardent researcher, a prolific translator, a successful litterateur, an efficient editor and a specialist in printing and publishing. Siddique has been studying postal service, postage stamps, contemporary coins and paper currencies of Bangladesh since 1986 and during these 30 years he has published as many as 21 research books and 10 study papers. He was awarded 12 prizes from international stamps exhibitions of USA, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Brazil. He is the pioneer in this field and was the only author on these subjects. Siddique is dexterous in translating poems. Since 2004 he has translated as many as 4,000 poems. He has translated 67 volumes of poetry. He was nominated as the Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society, London of his contribution to research works. Siddique Mahmud has as many as 115 publications in his credit.
