This academic monograph is a little contribution to the ECHR jurisprudence with an endeavour to review the common criticisms affiliated with the ECHRs use of "living instrument" doctrine in context of the ECHR rights. The most part of it will mainly carry out an in-depth study to find out the practical necessity of a doctrine like “living instrument” for the smooth progression of human rights standards within the Council of Europe.
