This book is about understanding of a chronic human tragedy rarely witnessed by any part of the Third World country. It is called the 'Monga'- a localized seasonal incident of joblessness that result in prolonged impoverishment and destitution of a certain population groups in the rural areas of Northern Bangladesh.
